Group of ACE volunteers and game rangers relaxing in the bush

April 2009 Game Ranger Course provides fantastic sightings and a high pass rate!

The recent game ranger course was a great success with the group seeing a huge variety of species in their natural habitat including not one, not two, but three leopards, herds of elephant, buffalo and rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and zebra.

Walking in on rhino and elephant is an exhilarating experience in the African bushveld, while during a game drive the vehicle vibrated from the roar of a very well situated lion while the pride surrounded the group! The Oolifants river, separating the camp base for the course and Kruger national park saw viewings of hippos, crocodiles and elephants traversing and drinking! One of the highlights of this course was viewing hyenas at a den site near the camp!
