Established in our heritage region of southern Africa, African Conservation Experience work with projects that are currently based in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Working in the some of the most stunning and diverse ecosystems on earth, your sustainable conservation placements ensure long term support for the vulnerable wildlife and local communities we work with while giving you the amazing opportunity to work with wildlife.

Conservation work takes many forms so you can get involved joining a project that matches your interests, whether you want to work with wildlife in a wildlife care centre, gain wildlife veterinary experience, or field research skills, pursue a conservation internship, become a marine conservation volunteer or learn about Africa's wildlife by joining one of our focused wildlife courses. You will find a range of projects in each category below. Every project is unique in its conservation mission, the focus of its work and the responsibilities and living conditions that you'll encounter. We will chat to you in detail about which project would suit you best after you apply to be a wildlife volunteer in Africa to make sure you get the most out of your conservation placement.
