Our conservation travellers come from all backgrounds, nationalities and ages. There are no requirements for qualifications or past experience and it’s not about where you come from and what you are doing in your life right now. It’s all about a love of wildlife and a wish to learn and make a positive difference. Apart from being animal lovers – obviously! – people take on conservation placements in Africa for all sorts of reasons and under many different circumstances: Students who are pursuing a career in veterinary medicine or zoology, for example, will learn a lot of career-related skills, while lifelong wildlife enthusiasts will have the chance the get up close and behind the scenes in wildlife reserves and conservation research projects in Africa. Maybe you are even thinking of embarking on a career break and want to explore life as a wildlife ranger or field biologist? There is a lot you can get out of conservation travel!
