When you make an enquiry to African Conservation Experience, I will be one of the first people to speak with you. It’s my job to spend time with you to understand what your interests are and what you want to achieve by volunteering with us. Then comes the exciting bit - where we work together to match you to your ideal project, finalise your trip, and after that you’re off for a life-changing experience!

My life-changing experience occurred in 2011 when I first visited South Africa. Since then I have been back to southern Africa many times. I truly understand what people mean when they say Africa will capture your heart. I went on to study Zoology at the University of Manchester where I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend a year working in the field. I spent my time living in a tent in the remote bush of South Africa studying primate behaviour and monitoring leopard populations. After university, I fulfilled one of my long held ambitions and travelled the length of Africa from Cape Town to Cairo - a truly remarkable journey.

I want to inspire other travellers to fulfil their dreams to travel whilst contributing to genuine conservation projects that will make a real difference to the animals and people of Africa. I am so excited to be working with African Conservation Experience to ensure that all of our volunteers have an incredible and breath-taking experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
